All images were taken using a Canon 7D with the Sigma 24-70 f-stop 2.8. 

These dramatic colors occurred around 6 AM in the morning an hour before sunrise (7:07 AM). Outdoor light an hour before sunrise is limited requiring the fastest ISO that a photographer is comfortable using. I chose ISO 800 because I previously tested the ISOs photographing sunrises. I feel that the settings higher than 800 ISO on the Canon 7D have an unacceptable amount of noise.
